The Well is not set up to provide emergency or crisis support. 

If you are in crisis right now, please reach out to someone who can quickly be there for you, such as Toronto Distress Centres at 416 408-4357, available 24/7, or one of these other Crisis Resources.

Session Fees

$160 for a 50-minute session*

*A limited number of reduced-rate spaces are available for clients who are currently unable to pay the full fee. Please get in touch to find out more.

There is no tax on Registered Social Worker services. Sessions may be covered in full or in part by an extended health insurance or employee benefits plan. Check with your insurance provider before your appointment to see whether sessions with a Registered Social Worker or Master of Social Work (MSW) are eligible for coverage. At this time, The Well does not offer direct billing to insurance providers. Payment is due at the end of each session and a PDF receipt is sent when payment is received. If these services are covered by your extended health benefits plan, you can submit this receipt to your provider forreimbursement.

Cancellation Policy

The Well has a standard 24-hour cancellation policy. That means if you need to cancel or reschedule your session, you must give notice at least 24-hours in advance, or the full fee for the session will be charged. If you are late, you can still use the rest of your remaining session time for the full fee.

Please note that all of our sessions are currently offered online only, using a secure, private, video platform. Contact us for available appointment times.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is one of the most important principles in our profession but there are exceptions. These exceptions are generally safety or legally related, such as when there is an immediate risk of harm to yourself or another person, if a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of harm, or a judge subpoenas our records. You can also request, or consent to, disclosure. In addition, all the forms and session platforms we use are PHIPA compliant, (Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004). That means your information is protected when using these platforms. Email communications, however, are not encrypted, so please keep private information out of all email communications.
